Garlic Skillet Herb Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Base

01 - 1 and 1/4 cups lukewarm water
02 - 1 tablespoon sugar
03 - 2 teaspoons fast-acting yeast
04 - 3 cups plain flour
05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - 1 teaspoon table salt

→ Flavoring

07 - Few sprigs of fresh rosemary, chopped
08 - Olive oil for brushing on top
09 - 3 minced garlic cloves
10 - Sea salt flakes for sprinkling

# Instructions:

01 - Stir the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt together in a big mixing bowl.
02 - Pour in the olive oil and water. Mix just until a dough starts to come together.
03 - Knead the minced garlic and rosemary into the dough until smooth and stretchy.
04 - Cover with a towel and leave somewhere warm for about an hour, or till doubled in size.
05 - Turn the oven to 200°C and put a cast-iron skillet inside to warm up.
06 - Punch the dough down and mold it into a round shape.
07 - Carefully take the skillet out, grease it lightly, and lay the dough inside.
08 - Brush the dough's top with olive oil and sprinkle on the sea salt.
09 - Bake for 30 minutes till it's golden and has a crispy crust.
10 - Take it out and let it rest before you slice it up.

01 - Using a preheated skillet creates a terrific crust on the outside.
02 - Keep the dough in a warm, comfy spot as it rises for the best fluffiness.
