Grab your saucepan and blend the cornflour with two spoonfuls of cold milk until smooth.

Split the eggs and put the whites aside. Gently whip the yolks with a fork.

Combine what's left of the milk, the cream, sugar, salt and vanilla in your pan. Let it come to a bubble then take it off the heat.

Slowly drizzle the warm milk mix into your beaten yolks while whisking constantly.

Pop it back on a gentle heat and stir for roughly two minutes until it gets nice and thick.
