Sweet Cherry Blossom Cookies (Impression)

Buttery bites loaded with chopped cherries, a little almond, and maybe white chocolate for extra fun.

03 - 1 large egg
04 - 1 cup butter (unsalted, softened)
05 - 3/4 cup sugar (regular)
06 - 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/2 cup maraschino cherry bits
10 - 1/4 cup juice from maraschino cherries
11 - 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, optional

# Étapes de préparation:

01 - Turn on the oven to 350°F (175°C) and cover two baking trays with parchment.
02 - Beat the butter with sugar until it's fluffy and pale (about 3 minutes). Add the egg and stir in the vanilla and almond flavorings.
03 - In a separate bowl, combine flour with salt and baking soda. Slowly add this mix to the wet bowl until it all comes together.
04 - Stir in the chopped cherries, their juice, and the optional white chocolate chips.
05 - Scoop dough onto baking trays, leaving gaps of 2 inches. Press a single cherry into the top of each dough round.
06 - Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cookies cool on trays a bit, then move to a wire rack.
