Place the chicken breasts into the slow cooker. Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle ranch seasoning evenly over the top. Distribute cream cheese in chunks across the surface. Cover with the lid.

Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours, until the chicken is very tender.

Once the chicken is cooked through, use two forks to shred it directly in the slow cooker.
