Effortless Szechuan Noodles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Noodles

01 - 8 ounces of dry noodles, like spaghetti or Chinese-style wheat noodles

→ Aromatics

02 - 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
03 - ½ cup finely sliced green onion
04 - 1 tablespoon of grated ginger

→ Sauce

05 - 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
06 - ¼ cup of soy sauce
07 - 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce
08 - ½ cup of chicken or veggie broth
09 - 1 teaspoon sugar
10 - 2 tablespoons of Szechuan chili sauce or paste

→ Vegetables

11 - ½ cup of trimmed snow peas

→ Cooking

12 - 2 tablespoons of cooking oil

→ Garnish

13 - Optional: crushed peanuts or sesame seeds for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Boil a generous pot of water, toss in the noodles, and cook them per the package. Drain them well and leave them aside.
02 - Whisk the soy sauce, rice vinegar, Szechuan chili paste, hoisin sauce, sugar, and broth together in a small bowl. Keep it close by.
03 - Heat up oil in a big pan or wok over medium-high. Toss in the garlic and ginger, and sauté for a minute or two until the aroma fills the kitchen.
04 - Add the snow peas and stir them around for a couple of minutes. They should stay crisp but soften up a bit.
05 - Add the drained noodles into the wok. Pour in the sauce and stir until everything is coated nicely. Let it heat through for about 2 minutes.
06 - Take the pan off the heat, sprinkle with some chopped green onions, and throw on the peanuts or sesame seeds if you like. Serve now!
