01 -
Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
02 -
Combine ground beef, ground Italian sausage, eggs, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and Parmesan cheese in a large bowl. Mix until evenly blended.
03 -
Form the mixture by hand into evenly sized meatballs.
04 -
Heat a drizzle of oil in a skillet over high heat. In batches, sear each meatball on one or two sides, avoiding overcrowding. Transfer seared meatballs to a plate.
05 -
Reduce skillet heat to medium. Add tomato paste and cook for about 10 seconds, stirring constantly. Pour in the pizza sauce, stirring to incorporate.
06 -
Return meatballs to the pan with the sauce. Turn off the heat to prevent overcooking at this stage.
07 -
Evenly sprinkle grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the meatballs. Place uncovered skillet or baking dish in preheated oven. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is golden and meatballs are cooked through.
08 -
Each serving portion is approximately 4 ounces of cooked meat.
