03 - 2/3 cup diced onion
04 - 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
05 - 1 teaspoon black pepper
06 - 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
07 - 2 to 3 jalapenos, seeded and diced

→ Dairy

08 - 3/4 cup milk
09 - 8 ounces cream cheese, cut into long, thin pieces

→ Bread

10 - 1 cup dry breadcrumbs

→ Condiments and Toppings

11 - 1/2 cup ketchup
12 - 5 slices bacon, cut in half

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
02 - In a large bowl, thoroughly mix ground beef, diced onion, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, seasoned salt, black pepper, and dried basil until evenly combined.
03 - Press half the meat mixture into a 9×5-inch rectangle on the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Arrange cream cheese and diced jalapenos lengthwise down the center of the meat layer.
05 - Cover filling with the remaining meat mixture, pressing along the edges to enclose the cream cheese and jalapenos completely.
06 - Evenly brush the top and sides of the meatloaf with ketchup. Lay bacon halves side by side over the surface.
07 - Place in preheated oven and bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
08 - Allow meatloaf to cool on the baking sheet for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

# Supplementary Details:

01 - Using lean ground beef helps reduce excess fat during baking. For extra flavor, try smoking the jalapenos before adding them to the filling.
