Cut halloumi into 1.25 cm thick slices.

Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place halloumi slices in the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden and crisp.

In a small saucepan, combine honey, lemon juice, and water over low heat. Stir gently until smooth and warmed through. If desired, add some fresh thyme leaves for additional aroma.

Arrange fried halloumi on a serving platter. Drizzle evenly with warm honey thyme glaze. Garnish with fresh thyme and optional crushed walnuts or pecans.
