01 -
Turn your oven on and set it to 350°F. Use nonstick spray to coat an 8½ x 4½-inch loaf pan.
02 -
Grab a big mixing bowl and toss in the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir to mix.
03 -
In another bowl, whisk the milk, room temp egg, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth and well blended.
04 -
Slowly add the milk mixture into the dry stuff and stir lightly until just mixed. The batter should stay a little thin—don't stir a ton.
05 -
Pour that batter into your greased loaf pan and spread it out so it's even.
06 -
Pop the pan in your oven and bake for 60-70 minutes. You'll know it's done when you stick a toothpick in the center and it comes out mostly clean, with maybe a crumb or two on it. The top should have a nice golden color.
07 -
After it's baked, let the loaf sit in its pan to cool down for around 10 minutes. Next, carefully take the bread out and move it onto a big sheet of parchment paper.
08 -
Brush the melted topping butter over the warm loaf, covering the surface gently as you go.
09 -
Take a small bowl and combine the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for the coating.
10 -
Sprinkle the sugar-spice mixture all over the butter-coated bread. Rotate the loaf as needed so every side gets covered.
