In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Add fresh cranberries and sliced jalapeños to the saucepan. Increase heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries have softened and begun to burst.

Stir in apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.

Remove saucepan from heat. Let the mixture cool at room temperature before transferring to sterilized jars. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving to develop flavors.
