Chicken Bacon Dog (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Sauce

01 - 2 tablespoons smoky barbecue sauce
02 - 120ml of mayo
03 - 2 tablespoons of honey
04 - 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
05 - 1/2 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
06 - 1 tablespoon regular yellow mustard

→ Sandwich Components

07 - 4 brioche-style hot dog buns
08 - Red onion, sliced thinly
09 - 4 large breaded chicken pieces
10 - 4 pieces of crispy cooked bacon
11 - Sliced dill pickles
12 - Tomatoes (Roma works well), sliced
13 - Shredded lettuce (romaine or iceberg)
14 - Fresh cracked black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a small bowl and combine the mayo, BBQ sauce, honey, both mustards, and lemon juice. Stir everything together really well. Set it aside in the fridge while getting the rest ready.
02 - Follow the directions on the package to prepare the chicken tenders until golden and crunchy. Using an air fryer gives the crispiest results.
03 - After the chicken is ready, toast the brioche buns just enough to get them slightly crisp around the edges—should take about a minute.
04 - Spread a nice amount of the sauce on both sides of the inside of each bun. Add the chicken tenders, some bacon slices, shredded lettuce, onion, tomato, and pickle slices in layers.
05 - Give each sandwich a sprinkle of freshly cracked black pepper. If you want, drizzle more sauce on top for extra flavor before serving.

# Notes:

01 - You can double up on the sauce if you'd like extra for drizzling.
02 - Bacon can be cooked however you prefer: oven, stovetop, or air fryer all work great.
